Last week I had some time to kill, so I went by a game shop nearby that has a few comics and a few computer games but is mostly board games, miniatures, RPGs, etc. Since I was two hours early for my meeting, I scoured the shop for something interesting. Finally, beside some second-hand original Game Boy peripherals, on a shelf only 10 inches from the ceiling, I spotted the gold I'd been panning for. Six vintage Sierra hintbooks, sealed on card. All have extensive shelf wear and a lot of yellowing to the blister pack, but are original "All New Format!" adventure window hintbooks from 1989. Quest for Glory 1, Leisure Suit Larry 2, Conquests of Camelot, Police Quest, Police Quest 2, and Space Quest 3. QfG1 was inexplicably $19.99, all the rest were $9.95 each.
